Digital Advertising Intern

Job description

Bolster is Australia’s premier digital agency for music, events & entertainment. Our clients include some of the largest touring and recording companies in Australia as well as musicians and exciting start ups. Our clients include Chugg Entertainment, St. Jerome's Laneway Festival, Splendour In The Grass, Falls Festival, UNFD, Future Classic, Remote Control, Inertia and Secret Sounds, just to name a few.

We are looking for a passionate Digital Advertising Intern to join the Bolster team to help assist on campaigns, but also to help you get a foot into the industry with real work experience. Internship placements last for one month, for one business day per week (flexible around your other work/study commitments) in our Collingwood office. They run throughout the year so we welcome applications at any time.

The role:

You will provide support to the digital advertising team, working on a range of campaigns. Tasks may include helping write advertising copy, basic reports/updates, industry/artist research and industry analysis.

You will get training on the above tasks and receive genuine feedback from the team on your work. We're also committed to ensuring our interns gain real-life industry experience and career feedback. This is an exciting opportunity to learn the ropes of digital advertising for some of the biggest names in the music and entertainment industry. Please note that this is an unpaid internship.

Requirements

Need to have:

  • Past internship/work experience or tertiary education related to marketing and advertising
  • Basic knowledge of statistics, and confidence in using Excel/Google Sheets with formulas to create reports
  • Copywriting skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritise and manage your time across different projects
  • An interest in music, comedy and entertainment events
  • A laptop that you can bring to our Collingwood office to work on
  • Availability to work one full business day (10am - 5pm) in our office

Beneficial to have:

  • Past paid or unpaid experience in the music industry, including non-advertising roles (e.g. event volunteering, booking bands, writing for music publications).
  • Past paid or unpaid experience with marketing events, including non-music events.
  • Prior knowledge of Facebook advertising (brownie points for Ads Manager and Power Editor), Google Adwords, Google Analytics or Google Tag Manager.

Please do not email us your application (as we will probably lose it) or call us to follow up on your application. Fill out the form here and we’ll definitely get back to you one way or another. Good luck!
