Digital Performance Marketing Strategist

We are a digital strategy, creative & product agency specialising in music, events & entertainment. Our client list includes some of Australia’s favourite entertainment brands, including Splendour in the Grass, St. Jerome’s Laneway Festival, Falls Festival, Chugg Entertainment, Fairfax Events and Future Classic, plus global lifestyle brands and businesses such as YouTube, JBL, Red Bull, Blundstone and Vue Group.


We're currently expanding and looking for a performance marketing strategist to join our team. You'll work at a senior level across entertainment, brand and hospitality clients at both a strategy and hands on level.

The Role:

  • Working from a client's brief to create digital strategies, media schedules and ad strategies to a budget/timeline, making best use of current technologies and tools.

  • Buying, trafficking & optimising performance media across various platforms including Facebook, YouTube, AdWords, Instagram, DoubleClick and native content publications etc.

  • Work with account management team on day-to-day communication, overall strategy and reporting to clients.
  • Test and implement new features and strategies to build on best practice.

  • Pull insights from data and use to optimise campaigns and inform best practice across the team.
  • Management of digital staff with the goal of growing team capability across digital campaign management

  • Act as a digital advisor between multiple areas of the business and stakeholders to achieve collaborative KPIs.


Need to have:

  • Min. 3 years digital paid media experience in an agency environment executing performance marketing strategies and campaigns

  • Advanced working knowledge and experience with facebook power editor, facebook ads manager AdWords, google analytics and google tag manager. 

  • Complete comprehension of cross-channel and cross-device measure implementation and measurement strategy

  • Understanding of digital attribution, display, programmatic and other digital channels with an understand of broader marketing mix impacts and concepts

  • High level of experience implementing, analysing and creating bid strategies, particularly conversion driven campaigns.

  • Proven history of managing and building rapport with multiple clients.

  • Ability to multitask, prioritise and manage your time across multiple campaigns with varying deadlines

  • Excellent analytical skills, and a technical and strategic mindset.

  • Good at working to a brief, with strong attention to detail

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • A love for entertainment industries

  • Copywriting skills to help clients create effective advertising copy.

Nice to have: 

  • Have worked in music, events, entertainment, food and beverage industries in a marketing role

  • Experience with web applications and software such as: Wordpress, Photoshop, video editing software

  • Experience with web development and coding (HTML5, Java, CSS).

  • Comprehension of Javascript, SQL and experience in Data Studios or Tableau.
