We’re a digital strategy, creative and product agency specialising in music, events and entertainment. We’re incredibly passionate about our clients and, hopefully, they’re on your radar too! We’re talking teams like Splendour in the Grass, St. Jerome’s Laneway Festival, Falls Festival, Chugg Entertainment, Fairfax Events and Future Classic. We also work with brands that leverage music and event audiences such as Youtube Music, Red Bull Music, JBL, TAC, Sapporo and Blundstone.

Everything we do is backed by data driven insights and strategies. For some added fun we build digital products (one of which just reached 1m users!) and lead the pack in new models for content platforms.

Our diverse and energetic team is growing fast (0-40 in 2.5 years) and we’re on the hunt for someone super organised to take finance management reigns. Your job will be to keep the business moving. You’ll be two steps ahead at all times, intuitively taking care of the all things $$, so the team can focus on the stuff they do best.

If you have the ability to make order out of chaos while remaining calm and flexible, can build processes and drive the development of this entire function, then this is the role for you.

This role will will be based is Melbourne based working from our beautiful, naturally lit warehouse in Collingwood surrounded by great cafes, restaurants and bars. Perks include awesome hookups from the industries we work in, twice a week yoga, frequent team retreats and a dog friendly office.

The role:

  • Oversee and manage the financial health and operations of the business.

  • Manage and oversee all AR/AP responsibilities. Responsibilities include:
    • Month end billings process
    • Ensuring all campaigns are invoiced on time and media costs are passed on to clients
    • Responsibility for collections, chasing overdue invoices and managing AR to acceptable levels
  • Lead and grow the finance team. Currently includes external CFO and you, but will grow as required and guided by you.

  • Cashflow forecasting and management.

  • Maintain integrity of financial data.

  • Assist CFO / Directors for week, month + year end duties, budgeting, including revenue forecasting and P&L projections.

  • Management of all payroll & annual leave processes.

  • Continual improvement and implementation of finance systems and processes.

  • Staff and contractor expense management.

  • Manage and oversee month-end close and financial statement preparation.

  • Preparation of Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss reconciliations.

  • Manage and build finance and office administration team.

  • Working in partnership with the Accounts Managers, Campaign Managers and Sales team to ensure the sales pipeline data is up to date, and agency workflow software is updated accordingly.


  • Excellent working knowledge of xero, google docs, office suite and project management tools such as harvest, trello, jira and impeccable excel skills.

  • Minimum 4 years in a similar role, ideally in a creative, media or marketing agency capacity.

  • Exceptional phone, oral, presentation and customer communication skills.

  • Flexibility, ability and initiative to work within a continuous improvement environment.

  • Ability to work under pressure.

  • Ability to present relevant information with confidence to stakeholders of all levels.

  • Self-motivated with a ‘get stuff done’ attitude.

  • Willing and able to be hands on with any and all finance related tasks. 

Experience required:             

Minimum 4 years in a finance role with an agency background.
