Senior Social & Content Strategist

We are a digital strategy, creative & product agency specialising in music, events & entertainment. Our client list includes some of Australia’s favourite entertainment brands, including Splendour in the Grass, St. Jerome’s Laneway Festival, Falls Festival, Chugg Entertainment, Fairfax Events, Vue Group and Future Classic, plus global lifestyle brands and businesses such as JBL, Red Bull Music, Blundstone and YouTube Music. 


We're looking for a Senior Strategist to lead our social and content team across our lifestyle brand clients. This is a senior role that is hands on. You'll lead from the front, immersing yourself in our clients' worlds, overseeing projects and campaigns end to end.
You'll also further shape our social and content offering from strategy, insights, creative and reporting.


The Role:


  • Develop always-on and campaign strategies for clients and internal businesses in line with business goals.

  • Translate clients' brand strategy into tactical approaches to meet objectives and KPIs
  • Contribute to the new business pitching process

  • Lead the debriefing of specialist teams to take the strategy process through to implementation.

  • Ensure content plans meet the requirements of the strategies on an ongoing basis.

  • Manage multiple projects and clients with changing priorities.

  • Manage client/project budgets and ensure project profitability.

  • Collaborate with internal creatives to execute content production.

  • Coordinate external resources and suppliers needed to service projects.

  • Develop and manage client reporting processes.

  • Lead a team of social media managers who implement the strategies created.

  • Keep the team ahead of the curve by identifying market trends, analysing the market, competitors and clients to provide actionable insights.

  • Maintain relationships with external suppliers, such as analytical tools, and review performance

  • Manage analytical tools and ensure training is completed to maximise the platform’s potential.

  • Provide consultation on social and content approaches for clients.


Must have:

  • Proven history of social media content management, digital marketing, content strategy and copywriting

  • Strong working knowledge of digital marketing strategies.

  • Channel planning experience for digital and social.

  • Ability to communicate strategies and ideas in a simple no bullshit manner

  • Solid planning, organisational and decision making skills

  • Excellent analytical skills with a technical and strategic mindset

  • Capability to build strong and effective working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders

  • Deep analytical understanding and experience using various platforms insights and social listening tools, including a working knowledge of Google Analytics and Facebook Analytics.

  • Experience and a developed industry network with music, entertainment and lifestyle brands

  • Minimum 3 years agency experience in a similar role with account and client management skills

  • Be able to think creatively, bring fresh ideas to the table and communicate them effectively. 

  • Experience managing influencer campaigns.

Nice to have:

  • Google Adwords and Facebook Blueprint certifications + experience running campaigns.

  • Experience with web applications and software such as: Wordpress, Photoshop, video editing software.

  • Experience with performance marketing.
